Welcome to the Adaptive Mindset. I'm Brett Gallant, cybersecurity thought leader and founder of Adaptive Office Solutions. Here, we don't just talk tech, we unlock the strategies, stories, and mindset shifts you need to stay secure, lead boldly, and thrive in a digital world. Let's get started. Welcome back to the Adaptive Mindset. I'm very pleased to have with me today, Laura Hoorweg Laura is a transformational guide, intuitive coach, and a psychic medium who's been called the real deal. Laura has lived through loss, radical life change, and even open heart surgery, and she's turned those experiences into a powerful mission, helping soul-led humans break through blocks, reconnect with their purpose, and rise stronger than ever. We're diving into resilience today, intuition, and what it really takes to live authentically in an ever changing world. If you ever felt stuck, misaligned, or like you've outgrown the life you're in, this is the conversation for So tell our audience a little bit about yourself, Laura. I know one of the things I've read about you, you had an out-of-body experience at just 15 years old. Can Oh, wow. That was quite the moment. Yeah, it's pretty much everything shifted for me at that moment. The way I looked at life, the way I look at death, the way I looked at how the world functions. And I was actually climbing rappelling and I was standing on the top of a beautiful cliff looking out onto wilderness up in northern Ontario and it was such a beautiful scene. It was nothing but lakes and rocks and rivers and trees. And it was the I think what actually triggered it was the immense beauty that I was looking at. And what happened is all of a sudden I just felt this like a whoosh feeling. And all of a sudden I was up in the sky and I was looking down on my compadres and my climbing instructor sitting on the cliff. And I'm like, wow, this is pretty wild. And I'm way up in the sky. So I can see literally the song is coming to mind for I can see. Yeah, I got the song in my head Yeah, I know. It's going to be funny. Yeah, so that I felt and I felt totally comfortable. I just felt what a oneness with everything. There was no fear. I felt totally expanded and part of everything. Yet I still felt myself. And just as I was getting used to that feeling, all of a sudden that whoosh came again and I found myself outside of the earth. OK, looking down on the earth. So I'm going to date myself here a little because I When I was a kid, it was when they first did all the moon landings when I was a little girl. And I remember the astronauts talking about looking down at the earth and what an awesome experience that was. And I was suddenly having that experience. So it was like incredible. And again, you know, I felt no fear. I felt totally, you know, taken care of and safe. And there was nothing. It was just awe inspiring. And I was I'll use another old phrase, gobsmacked. I was just like, what is going on here? And then just as that thought came into my mind, I felt that feeling again, that whoosh. And all of a sudden, I found myself out in the middle of the galaxies, like literally looking at our own Milky Way galaxy. So I guess I was actually out in the universe because I was looking at all these different galaxies, including our own. And I was just literally starting to think, oh my God, what is next? And just as that thought came to me, or that feeling came to me, all of a sudden it was like a great big hand grabbed me and wham, back in my body. It was like, I always describe it as, it was a feeling like trying to stuff a basketball into a Coke bottle. It was like I was too much expanded. My spirit, my energy was too expanded to actually fit back into my body. And actually it took three or four days for me to feel kind of actually back in my body. But what had happened in real, well in 3D time, not real time, but 3D time, is one of the instructors had actually come, he got nervous, he thought I was too close to the cliff, edge of the cliff, and he just grabbed the back of my pants and yanked me back. And that's what brought me back into my body. So that was pretty wild. It was And this happened, obviously, this happened in seconds, like, you know, it seemed minutes to me like it seemed very quite long. But it obviously all happened in seconds, like literally seconds. So it was it was it was mind blowing. That's And I've been trying to recreate that experience for decades and I've never quite, I've gotten sort of close in some meditations and things that I've done, but So when you say you've gotten close, what do you mean? How do you mean by Go down that rabbit hole. Okay. As part of my healing experience after my life partner suddenly passed away, I did a lot of things on my healing journey. Because what people don't realize is when you lose somebody very close to you, it brings up all the crap that you haven't dealt with in your life. So not only are you dealing with all that grief for that person, you are basically assaulted, I'll use the word assaulted, with everything that you haven't dealt with in your life. So it becomes a massive healing journey. So as part of that, I actually went to Peru to some shamanic healers and I did a three-week intensive ayahuasca journeys. I did many, many ayahuasca journeys. Now that was very much psychedelic journey, but I had one that was very, very shamanic where The spirit of ayahuasca who shows up in many forms one is in the form of the crown or the maiden or and she also shows up in the form of a massive. Big snake that's the way she showed herself to me which was a little bit intimidating but she basically took me through a classic journey through the underworld. So that would be as close as I would say that I've ever come to that same kind of experience. But it was different in the sense that it was also It wasn't a purely natural experience because it was, you know, it was aided by the plant medicine. So yeah, That would be the closest. And so you've been trying to relive this experience since that Well, I haven't, let me, it's not a pointed mission, but I've always wanted to re-experience it. And I was hoping through, several different things that I've done experientially that I could come close to that. But I never have. I have had some out of body experiences in the dream time, which come close to it as well. But it's the whole thing about it was that I was fully awake. I was totally sober. I didn't have anything, any chemicals or drugs And that's why I'm saying I'm sure that it was fueled simply by the immense beauty in the atmosphere that So before let's get back, let's get dig into your story a little bit. I know like you have. I'm aware you you had you walked away from a 30 year advertising career. Well, what ended up happening is at that time, the newspaper that was the advent that was this we're talking about 12 years ago, and that was the advent of really when online advertising came in and the newspaper business had been declining before that. But when that happened, it declined considerably. And the atmosphere that I was working in became so toxic because when business is great, usually the environment is pretty easy to go. But when business gets bad, it gets really toxic and it got really, really toxic. I probably should have left five or six years before I did, but when you're making that salary, when you have all those benefits, when you've got that seniority, all those things, then you should leave and you don't. It finally got to the point where they were offering, they'd offered buyout several times because of course they were also trying to slim down the number of employees. I think it was the third one or something that came along. I pretty much figured that it was probably going to be the last chance to get that golden handshake, and things had become so bad that it was affecting my physical and mental health, and I just knew that I had to get out of there. So that's why I left. I left on my own accord. They didn't like the fact that I left. They tried to convince me to stay. But I was at a point where I just said, you know, write So many times we stay in places for comfort. Yes. Well, I think that's, you know, as human beings, we are so adverse to change, especially when we're in a very feeling, very secure about where we are. And it really takes. What it really takes is is that place or that thing or that relationship to get really bad, has to get really bad before we're willing to leave. And unfortunately, Well, I, I think it's that comfort level and, and some, and what I've talked with other guests before is fear, fear, what could be on the other side of that. And we let fear drive our decisions and we let fear be in the driver's seat of our lives when it should be in the passenger seat, when Well, yeah, I yeah, I'm I'm still have it in the passenger seat. So, OK, but I'm with you. I agree. I'm OK. I'm making a decision. I'm putting the fear in the backseat, maybe in the back, maybe in a trunk, actually, if you actually I don't think you can totally do that because What people forget to fear is there for a reason. OK, fear is fear is not just a nuisance and a debilitating, but it is something that helps keeps us safe and it helps us to activate our own knowing. So. I think we'd be in trouble if we didn't have fear. It's how we manage fear and how we let it use You should be using fear to your advantage instead of letting yourself be controlled by fear. And it's easily said, but it's often not easily done. But the more you practice it, I think the better you can get at it. And I think the longer you're, I say the longer your trip along the highway, I think that often the easier that gets because you just get to the point where you know that bad things actually worse things are going to happen if you stay in that situation. Then and then the fear of actually leaving it. I think that's where you Yeah. You do the math and you say, yeah, yeah, yeah. This is this is an adding up. So you left that, and then Okay, well, like I said, I had a golden parachute, so I had planned to take about six months off, so I did that. And then I figured that I was about 52 at the time and I had all kinds of experience and I thought that I would have no problem finding another job. So after the six months, I started looking for a new position. in a related field in marketing or advertising. And unbeknownst to me, there was a huge ageism that was going on. And I think it still goes on. I don't think it's quite to the same degree it was about 12 years ago. But actually, a very good headhunter uh enlightened me they're not supposed to because this kind of thing is against the law but she basically told me that all her clients in other words the employers had already told her not even to bother sending anybody that was over the age of 45 and i'm like oh well that's nice because i'm 52 at the time and uh so i knew this was going to be a problem so that again kind of threw all the balls back up in the air. And just as I was coming to this realization that I was going to have a very difficult time securing a new position, my partner died suddenly. And it was, I started looking for a new job again in January and basically he passed away suddenly at the beginning of February. So then everything, I always say my life imploded and exploded all at the same time. So it was a very, very difficult time. And after that is when, like I said, everything happens and all this stuff comes up for you. And then I went into my intense healing journey and I did all That must have been painful to have all of that happen at the same time, losing your partner. Yeah, it was. It seems to be the course of my life. No, honestly, I think our lives tend to have what I call a cycle. I'm on probably a 10 or 11 year cycle. Some are on shorter cycles and some are on longer cycles. But if you pay attention and you've been around for a while, you start seeing things repeating themselves. And in my life, about every 10 or 11 years, things happened to force me to kind of reinvent myself. But this was definitely a total, a total reinvention. Some of the other ones had been pretty harsh, but not to the degree that this was. So this, I would say that that one was the the most difficult one because everything happened. Like usually with people, one or two areas of your life explode. Like you've got personal, you've got family, you've got business, and you've got relationships. So there's basically those four pillars of your life. And usually with most people, only one or two of those pillars goes, let's just say, goes to shit. At a time, okay? But what happened to me in that particular surgeron, all patooey at once, so it was very... That's what we call, and Yeah, that's what I was going to say. It is a shitshow, yes. Oh, yeah. So, you know, and it's kind of like and thank God that I had a bit of a financial cushion because I was just I was gone and I needed to to to navigate stuff. that I didn't know how to navigate. So I went through a lot of things. I was in, I don't know if you know who John of God was. He's a trans channel healer in Brazil. I was there for about, I was only supposed to be there for two weeks. I ended up there for about six or eight weeks. And then I came back and I was only home a very short period of time. And then I went to Peru with the Ayahuasca thing. And then what happened after Peru? I came back again. Oh, yes. And I was trying to figure out what the heck I was going to do with my life. And I decided I had gotten into yoga. That was another thing I did, a healing journey. And I decided, well, maybe, you know, I love yoga. Maybe I'll become a yoga teacher. And I thought, well, if I'm going to do this and commit to it, I've got to do it quickly because I've got to get working again. I'm running out of money. And so I decided to I found out about a school in Costa Rica and I did a month long intensive yoga teacher training in in Costa Rica. And then I came back and I realized, well, I actually realized it when I was there, but I really realized it when I got home, that I loved yoga and that yoga was always going to be a part of my life, but I wasn't meant to teach it. The whole thing was actually part of my healing journey. Going through the teacher training was part of my healing journey. So I came back from that and then I decided that I had made Tim a promise because Tim, my partner, had spent 20 years in Hawaii and he loved Hawaii. So I took his ashes back to Hawaii. And while I was there, there was a yoga thing going on. So I did that as I kind of did a combined trip. But yeah, so there was a lot of things, a lot of things that went on in a row. And then after I came back and it was about time, I think it was when was it in 20, about the middle of 2015, I really got the call to start my own business and start working, working one on one with people and doing my spiritual counseling and intuitive coaching. And then the mediumship came in there afterwards. But that's when I started my own practice. So Um, how, so you shifted your mindset along the way and big time, like dealing with these transformational moments in your life. And now, now you're on the other side of it, but I like, I can imagine it wouldn't be fair to say that you're still on the journey because we're all on the journey. Oh yeah, for sure. What, like where you are now, what are some of the most moments that you're proud of in your day to day and the practice you have now that you're helping people and helping people with their, you know, with intuition and like, what, what are some of the big wins Well, I always say that my main mission with my practice is helping people make their lives work. And I see people who are having personal problems, people who are having relationship problems, people who are in major transitions, whether that is a grieving transition through a relationship and whether that's through death or whether that's through divorce. I see people, a lot of people going through major transitions in their life, you know, changing Changing careers, changing relationships, divorce, like I said, you know, having people passing away. Some people just going through major life transitions, changing from one phase of life, transitioning from one phase of life to another. You know, we go through multiple transitions throughout our life just naturally. and people who are all of a sudden awakening and discovering their spiritual side and they want to grow spiritually and they want to be connected to their authentic self. This is a huge part of my mission is connecting people with their authentic self because you can't steer the rest of your life unless you're connected to who you really are because otherwise we just end up wearing these masks or we end up doing What our parents told us to do or what our society told us to do. I can't tell you the amount of people, this is a good stark comparison so people can really get this. I have clients who spent multiple years, like years and years and years and hundreds of thousands of dollars becoming doctors or other professionals, okay? And then they finally finish everything and then they get out and they start practicing and they go, oh my God, I can't do this. I hate this. This is not what I want. Because the reason they went in at the first place was usually their parents or society or their idea of, You know, I want to have this job because I know I'm going to make a bunch of money and I'm going to have a secure career and all that stuff. But then when they actually do it, they realize that it's just soul sucking No, it's not. It's not. It's not providing them with the I call it juice, you know, the energy and the self-satisfaction that they thought it would. And I've seen people walk just Literally walk away from these professions and decide to do something else you know doctors nurses lawyers you know people who spent a lot of time and a lot of money on their education and just realize that. They can't do it it wasn't for them in the first place and you know i try to help people before they get to that point to kind of make some but you know people come to me when they come to me and. It's, you know, whatever stage somebody's at and sometimes people just feel really stuck and they don't know why they're stuck. Sometimes it's things that have happened to them in this life. Sometimes it's things that have happened in past lives that they have no knowledge of. And sometimes just having the knowledge of what actually is holding you down from a past life, just knowing what it is, can totally release you. It's just amazing to see these transitions. Or I've had people in my coaching program who have my coaching and mentoring program who have been a mess when i first got together with him like they didn't know where they were going they didn't know how to do it you know they were having you know in some cases heavy duty emotional and in some cases, psychological issues. And we've worked together and all of a sudden they got clear, they realized what they wanted to do. They just kind of jumped, leaped from there because they got very clear about what it was that they wanted to do. We worked on tools. I always talk about arming people with a toolkit. Because that's one of our huge problems. So many people just don't have the tools. You know, all these things happen to them and they don't know how to have the tools to navigate the situation. And I think that's one of the biggest things about me is I've been through a lot in my own life, you know, starting in childhood. So I've had to navigate a lot of these things myself so I can really help people. And there's a real difference between book If you can look somebody in the eye and say, hey, I know what you're going through because I've been there. That is so powerful. It's Yeah. I've had people come to me and actually I had a testimonial like this and she said, you know, This is kind of paraphrased, but basically what she said was one session with me was worth more to her than three years of traditional therapy. Like she got more out of an hour with me than she got out Wow, that's really rewarding to Yeah, that gives me my juice because it's difficult. It's difficult helping other people through their problems when you're having to deal with your own life and everything that's going on in the world. You need that, and that's what keeps me going, knowing that I'm helping people to such a great degree in so many ways. And some people, it's a greater or lesser, and I'm not everybody's cup of tea. I always say that the universe will say, let's put it this way, if I could help everyone, there'd only have to be one It's, I love, I love a lot of what you just shared. And I, I genuinely believe we're all put on this earth to help each other and become the 10 X of the enhanced version of ourselves so we can help people. Even with myself, I've worked harder on myself than my job. And I, I've become, I've become person that I know I can show up better for my wife, my children, my team, my community. But you're living it every day because you're getting the juice by helping it. Now, like you said, you don't always get that. You're not the cup of tea for everyone. But on average, you're helping so many people and helping them. And that one testimonial, I love that. It's Well, what I always tell people, whatever you're doing, well, because what helps me, if I'm having a bad day or a bad week or something, I'm so lucky. I'll just go to my website and I'll start scrolling through all my testimonials because it reminds me of why I'm doing this, right? Yeah, it's not always easy and right now it's difficult. It's more difficult because people are frightened. A lot of people are having financial issues. The first thing that goes for people is self-care because they put all their money in food and rent and mortgages and cars and all this stuff that they have to. and they start neglecting themselves. But I always tell people, when things get tough, that's when you have to up your self-care, not reduce it. And this is hard for a lot of people to understand, but it's totally, totally true that the more challenging your life gets, the Oh. Absolutely. It's the best investment. It's the best ROI ever. If you take care of yourself, then you're going to be better That's exactly the message that I give. Because I always say, if you don't take care of yourself, you're not going to be able to take care of So Laura, I'm living proof of that. My, my coach kept saying to me, Brett, you need to put your oxygen mask on. And after about the 50 millionth time, I came to this decision day back in October, 2023, I told my coach, I said, Dave, I don't have time to go to the gym. And he said, Brett, you mean to tell me you own your own business and you can't get to the gym. and that was his way of telling me to have self-care. But I took that seriously, and I doubled down on self-care, and Yeah, and so we, I work with a lot of entrepreneurs and people, like I'm in cybersecurity. I work with a lot of other, I stay connected with a lot of other business owners and business owners. And I see this common thread and this isn't judging, this is just more of an observation. Last thing the busy entrepreneur does is take care of themselves, typically. And they don't take that- Yeah, they don't take time for themselves. And then that suffers. For me, I know that because I'm on the other side of it now. I'm still on my journey, but everything has gotten better when I doubled down in self-care. Well, yeah, because you're not going to be there for your customers. You're not going to be there for your business. Being an entrepreneur, it's not an easy thing. And you know, like, here's all I know right now. Well, especially I went from one extreme to the other because I basically walked away from a six figure income with five months paid vacation and all kinds of benefits and yada, yada, And then all of a sudden you're working for yourself. I tell you, you want to Yeah. Yeah. Because it's it all Yeah. And so you're seeing a shift right now where some people may be neglecting self-care for other things. But the lesson I think is like what you said, now is the time to double down and take care of yourself, especially when things where there's some uncertainty in the market and where people are questioning, this is where you need it most. Because when you take care of yourself, you can better handle all these transitions and challenges. But instead of problems, I like saying puzzles, because most problems can be solved. If you look at it as a puzzle, you can solve it. I always like to think of them as challenges, because I think challenges are what make us grow. I think of it like Schoolhouse Earth. We're here to learn, and those challenges are what make us learn. When things are all going well and everything's hunky dory, nobody's looking at anything. They're just enjoying the Yeah. I don't have to worry about it. I don't have to look at myself. I don't have to look at the world. I don't have to look at what I maybe could be doing better. It's when the challenges come that we start making changes and we have to pivot and we have to Change the way we're looking at things and maybe change the way we're doing things, you Yeah it and and that's a hard truth sometimes for some of us to face and Recognize tell until we finally have that moment like what I did decision day Yeah, and sometimes you get the choice to have the decision day but other times It's made for you. Yeah Which So you're a psychic medium, right? What is it actually like for you when you connect with someone on the other side? What's That's hard to describe, honestly. Yeah. For me, some people actually hear voices and things like that. It's more like feelings and images. I call them almost like thought packets. Do you remember that old Monty Python movie where the head flips open? I always think of it like the head flips open and they drop little thought packets into my head. I know my brain and that's what it's like so all of a sudden and i know this stuff is not mine okay and so then i share that information now when it comes to the mediumship side of things i look at mediumship there's different kinds of mediums. there's what's called an evidentiary medium and they tend to be the ones you see on tv and stuff like that they're just you know spouting facts and and stuff and and a lot of times their major um objective is to convince people that there's life after death okay yeah That's not why I started using my mediumship gift because I don't care if you believe in life after death or not. It's up to you. But what what I made the agreement with is I made the agreement with the people on the other side to deliver their messages and my agreement with the people, the living is to deliver those messages because they're healing to them. Okay. There's so many situations. I'll give you a quickie. This really illustrates it really well. There was a young man who was killed in a traffic accident. And because of the evidence at the scene, there was no, he was on a motorcycle and there was no skid marks. There was no nothing. And he drove right into a huge tree and he was killed And because of the circumstances, you know, it's not blaming the police, but obvious circumstances, they ruled it as a suicide because they thought he deliberately drove into this tree in order to take his own life. Well, when he came through in our in our group session with And actually, this is an interesting thing. None of his family was at this session, but a woman who was a really good friend of his family was there, okay? And she was being asked to be a messenger. This happens quite frequently. Anyway, the real story, which he laid out for us, was that he had had a really bad cold. He'd taken a bunch of over-the-counter cold medications, and he literally fell asleep at the wheel. That's why there is no skid marks, no attempt to avoid the situation. He literally fell asleep on his bike. He made it very plain that he didn't intend to take his own life, but he also took responsibility that he knew he shouldn't have done what he did, because he knew he shouldn't have been driving after taking all those drugs. And so that, it healed the entire family, because I can tell you, especially with young men in particular, there were several friends of his and his younger brother who were basically almost suicidal after this happened, okay? Because suicide tends to spread, it tends to be contagious, especially amongst young people and particularly amongst young men. And so this healed and his parents and all everybody around him, they just couldn't cope with the fact that he had committed suicide. OK, because then all these questions like, why don't we see it? You know, we could have done something, you know, all this guilt and remorse. There was all kinds of horrible things going on in his family and friends. So. this woman who was a friend of the family was able to take this knowledge to them and it healed the entire family. Like it was just, it was amazing. So this is what I do. I deliver messages so that people can heal. Like I said, I don't care Um, but cause I've seen the healing happen and the wonderful thing is, Mediums are like antennas. We can't reach out and grab people. They have to want to come to us. So we're just kind of like an antenna. But it's interesting. So there's always often one or two people in the group. that don't get messages directly for them. But it's an interesting phenomenon because I tell you, nine times out of 10, that will be the person at the end of the session who comes up to me and just going crazy because they've gotten so much out of all the messages that were delivered to other people. In some ways, they almost get more than Because that's their reaction, because they found something in every one of those messages that they could use. Other people were so focused on their message and their person, but the people who didn't get a message, they ended up getting That's what I love about coaching. You can notice, but Yeah, and you know, that's the only thing I do in person. I have people host group mediumship sessions in their home. All my counseling and coaching I do online, because I actually, I used to do some of it in person, but I actually found doing it like this, like what we're doing, it allows me to be in my, I can control the energy in my place, They feel safe and calm because they can control the energy for them. And I find the connection often is actually better online because of those reasons than it is when I'm actually sitting across the table with somebody. Because you're in an environment, usually you're in an environment where you can't control what's going on around you. And the person, the client, is in an unfamiliar environment. So that often makes people more closed and more scared, you know, more not willing to open up to the extent that they would be when they were at home. So I actually, after COVID, I learned this through COVID because it was before COVID that I was doing in-person sessions and after going through the experience of COVID, I just went, no. The only thing I started doing again eventually was the mediumship sessions because My guides were very specific that we should be doing those because they're groups. You need that energy of that circle and you need that presence for that work. So that's the only thing I do in person now. The only thing I don't like about it is it does limit because it does limit the fact that I can only do sessions, mediumship sessions with my locals. Okay. In the, in the lower mainland where I live, um, because online I have clients from all over the world, which is another cool Like I meet everywhere. Rapid You're not going to grade it, though. So just first thing that comes to your mind, OK? OK. Morning Yeah, that doesn't surprise me. It's awesome. A book that's a book that's impacted you the most on your spiritual path. Authentic, okay. And a favorite place This has nothing to do with my healing journey, but it's I love the energy of Thailand, yeah. Or at least when I was there. I think it's, it might've changed because it's So you have the memory of what it, I have the memory of the energy there. There you go. What's your go-to practice when life feels Okay. If you could leave our listeners with Is people stop. They get, then that's when you get stuck. And I don't care what, I always say this to my clients. I don't care if it's a baby step. I, and I don't care if that step is simply getting out of bed and making your bed. There's something I've learned actually. This is when I was in the midst of my life exploding and imploding. I saw a podcast of, um, I think he was a Navy general or colonel, and his whole talk was based on just make your Oh, I've watched that. That's incredible. It's, Yes. And it sounds ridiculous, but it's absolutely true. If that's all you get accomplished in the day, if you get up and the first thing you do when you get up is you make your bed, it is, has an amazing effect. Okay. It sounds really simplistic, but it is. I would add to, I would say to that, meditate first and And then you want to make your bed and lie on your bed and meditate after. But those two things, I tell you, those two things, have have changed my life and saved my meditation literally like I can't say this like I love yoga and it's fantastic and it's healed my body okay I had a lot of car accidents a lot of injuries Yoga healed my body, but everything else, okay, my emotions, my mental state, my everything, meditation, meditation, meditation, it's literally saved my life at various And you accomplish that. And you go, oh, wow, I didn't think I could even get out of bed. But I got out of bed and I made Exactly. You know, that's all you get accomplished. You've already won the day. And not only that, there's something about looking at a nice, neat, mad, made bed as opposed to a bed that's all everything's tossed around. Because when you're in a in a state, usually your life is in turmoil. And if you're looking at your bed, unmade bed, all that does is mirror back to you the chaos in your life. OK, I think this is where the psychological thing comes from. But if you look at your nice, pristine, made bed, organized bed, it tells your mind that you can actually make headway in your life or in your day, even the day. I always tell people, you know, if things are super bad, Take one minute at a time. If they're bad, take one hour at a time. If they're just kind of screwed up, take one day. You I get it. Yeah. And the lesson here is break it down in chunks. But most of all, no Keep going. Because I tell you, eventually, things will get better. They just do. And see, this is why I think that young people are so much more at risk for suicide because they can't even conceive of the next day. Okay. Literally. Okay. Teenagers can't even think, oh, well, there's tomorrow. They just start their minds. Literally, they're not developed They're not developed in it because your mind is developing all the way till you're about 25, which people don't realize. Okay. Yeah. from about 13 to 25, your brain is developing as much as it did from zero to one year old, and that's huge, like it's just huge. So this is why, they can't conceive that So Laura, it's been such a pleasure to be here with you today.
