Welcome to the Adaptive Mindset. I'm Brett Gallant, cybersecurity thought leader and founder of Adaptive Office Solutions. Here, we don't just talk tech, we unlock the strategies, stories, and mindset shifts you need to stay secure, lead boldly, and thrive in a digital world. Let's get started. Welcome back to the Adaptive Mindset. I am really pleased to be here today, solo, once again, reflecting on an incredible week. I had the opportunity the last week to meet with over, I would say on over a hundred incredible entrepreneurs, leaders from all over the world at Dan Martell's AI Summit and Social Selling Summit. There were people from Australia, people from the United States, people from all parts of the United States and all parts of Canada coming together to learn, inspire, and get that extra edge to go further in their business, their I think the big reflection on this episode is about community, about who we become and how we share and the mindset we bring and go out and show to others about who we are. Along the way, there was so many great elements of content that I picked up at this event. Everything from how to position yourself when you're sharing your content on social media, being authentic, sharing your journey, having a format and a strategy on how to reach out to people, Amongst many other things, there was stories, there was some great content from Dan's CEO, talked about company culture and values, which I believe is vitally important in any business, in any organization. But the real big takeaway on top of all that incredible first day with the social selling was the AI summit. Ask yourself right now, how many of you are actually leveraging AI? How are you using it? What are you using it for? I've been sharing this for a while now. I have a note here that I have at the bottom of my screen that says, how can AI help me do this better? And by going to this event, I acquired some new skills on how to use AI better in new ways that I didn't even consider. In fact, for those of you listening, if you have not tried using AI with making use of what a master prompt is. I would highly encourage you to do that. If you're not familiar with what it is, DM me master on Instagram and I'll send you a link to a video that'll explain it better. But I really encourage you to investigate using that and go beyond. using AI for just your business. Don't use it just for email. I've actually been using it for different projects that I'm working on in business, operationally, and even some challenges I have in my own day-to-day life. I use it as a sparring partner. I actually have used it with spinning up my own AI virtual board of directors. I don't give it full control on what I'm thinking. I just use it as an extension of my brain. And that's the big thing we have to recognize that when we're living our day to day and we have this mindset, I think it's really important to recognize that the mindset of entertaining and using a tool that's perhaps the most revolutionary tool that we've ever had available, it would be kind of silly not to entertain using it. So my mindset in using AI is to go all in and use it to enhance what I'm already doing, but to go further and faster. And so as much I've enabled my team to use AI every day. And I had the great pleasure of working with my brother-in-law this weekend to help him with his career, teaching him some of the skills I've done. And it gave me so much energy to show him how he could use it and seeing the time savings and the sparring of ideas that just will help him in his own day-to-day. I know that some of you are on different parts of a journey, and I just want to encourage you to go all in and have that mindset of trying AI. Dabble in a little bit. Give it a go. Another key takeaway though, there's so many lessons I've learned from being away this past week. I went with intention of expanding my horizons. Typically, I'm a person who likes to have a quiet evening. When I'm away, I'll stay in and maybe go to the gym or go for a long hike. But I decided to take another direction. I decided that it was time. No, Brett, you're going to connect and meet with people. I'm so glad I did. Instead of after the conference or at lunchtime going back to the hotel and going for a walk on my own, I went for lunch with so many great, incredible people I met. many interesting people with all aspects of life, met other people that were in my field, cybersecurity. We had some great conversations. I met a pharmacy business owner. I met people that are experts in social media, experts in marketing. But we all had this common desire to improve ourselves. So meeting meeting these people and breaking bread and having conversations, having good laughs was so much more enriching than going back to the hotel and spending time by myself. Now, don't get me wrong, I would still very much would like to do that. But doing this was one of the biggest growth opportunities in my own mindset of pushing myself outside my comfort zone. The other thing I know I've shared publicly, and I'll continue to share my journey. I'm on the road to 200, which is, for those who are just listening, I've been around the same weight for the last seven or eight months, and I decided to go all in. So by December 31st, I'm going to be at 200 pounds. So I did do meal prep. I had the mindset that I said, hey, I can't follow or eat healthy while I'm away, originally a long time ago. But I went to this event bringing my scale for weighing myself daily. I brought the scale for weighing my food. Originally, like I shared, I was going to just meal prep all the time, but I pivoted. I did meal prep for some of my meals, but I made better choices when I went out for lunch, followed my meal And normally, in the past when I would go to events and not follow a structure, I would gain weight. But I came back from this event releasing a pound and a half. And how is that possible? Well, it's possible by just making a decision. A decision that you put yourself first, make good decisions, still live your life and get out there. So that was a huge shift in my own mindset. And I'm so grateful for my ability to recognize that, to meet with the people and to still lose the My favorite event from And this is why I think community is so important. Tuesday, every Tuesday in Kelowna, Dan Martell has a Founders Hike. And the people from both events, we went to this incredible, great hiking location, Knox Mountain. There was close to 200 people, if not more. It's 6.30 in the morning, getting up, getting ready to go and just hike this mountain half an hour up and half an hour down. And what was really incredible, what I really liked, it was the interaction I had with the two young boys that were there selling peaches. They saw an opportunity to make a little money to help themselves with a business venture. They were selling peaches for a dollar and they were making a killing. And I know they were inspired by Dan. Dan has been doing this great event for youth in his community called Kings Club. Anyways, back to the point of this though. Imagine close to 200 people climbing up a mountain together. I like to think I'm in pretty good shape. I felt great. I had, I was going up and I was getting so tired. I said, no, I'm not going to quit. I'm not, I don't think for a second, I was going to go back. It was just going to stop. There was about two or three times I was, I was going to stop, but I had about 20 or 30 people behind me. And finally I found a place where I could stop for a second, just to catch my breath. And I stopped for about five seconds and somebody came and gave me a fist bump, let's go. So I went and got up to the top of this mountain with all these entrepreneurs and we were high-fiving each other. There was one man, as we each came up the last step of stairs, there's a staircase at the very top. He was fist bumping each and every one of us, cheering us on because We all accomplished something great together that day. And we were just people living life, feeling fulfilled. The picture at the end and the breath, the breathtaking view was so incredible. It was so incredible that the next day I went myself at six in the morning and climbed it again. And had a little bit more time and reflection, and I sat up there for about 20 minutes with gratitude, gratitude for all the blessings in my life, blessings for my beautiful wife, my wonderful children, my five children, my team, this wonderful business, and to live in this wonderful community I have the great fortune of living in. It's really important to remember to have that gratitude reflection. And there's no better place, at least for me, of looking over a beautiful city after sweating and having some time to think. So keeping with this theme of community, I know at the very end, I went back to the hotel, checked out, checked in with the team. When I was checking out, I had great interaction with the person at the reception, had a good say. I was walking away, and I remember the wonderful breathing I had from the person that was working the first day. She was exceptional, kind, helpful, went out of her way. I was walking away and I wanted to just turn around and say to this lady that you were incredible on the first day that I was being checked in and I almost didn't do it, but I turned around and I did it. And I know I made an incredible impact on her day. She was so grateful. And I felt great as well. So the lesson here, when we're talking about making an impact and mindset, I think it's really important that we tell people how much of an impact they've had on our day. Random acts of kindness are so incredible. And with that, I just want to wish you all an incredible week ahead and let you know how grateful I am to be able to do this, to share these little takeaways that I have with you. Cause we're all on this earth for one reason, to make an impact, to share the best of who we are and give our best every day. And if this has resonated with you, please let me know if you ever had a moment like that where somebody said something kind to you or where you stepped up out of your comfort zone and made a difference for yourself and did something that you normally wouldn't do. And if you haven't done that, I challenge you to do that step out of your comfort zone this week. Or maybe that there's these times where this little voice is saying I should say something to let them know how much I appreciate them. Do it this week. Step out. Take a moment. Have that mindset to do it. You're going to be glad you did. I know I was. And with that, Have a incredible week, and I'm so grateful to be able to do this and speak with you each and every week. Take care. Thanks for tuning into the Adaptive Mindset.
